Cynthia Simons

Encore! Encore!" has been the joyful cry of the masses following the incredible and anointed performance of gospel recording artist, Cynthia Simons. Cynthia’s magnificent soul stirring voice delivers quality and spiritual substance when ministering through song. Actress/singer/songwriter/producer/musician knows that with God, nothing is impossible and her life and music are a testimony to that fact.

Beating the odds of Cancer, in 1992 an Attitude of Gratitude was birthed. With that same attitude Cynthia completed her first solo project entitled "Thankful". Thankful is a musical statement and a true reflection of Cynthia and who she is.

Keeping focused on the positives in her life, Cynthia allowed her true feelings to be expressed through her music. Cynthia writes and sings what she knows……

From her personal experiences with God, she goes from traditional to contemporary, from jamming to classical to celebratory hip-hop. Songs like (“Alright") celebrates the healing power of Jesus Christ. (“Sit Back”) focuses on God’s trustworthiness. (“I Am God”) is smooth with a rock star base line. Cynthia covers the Hawkins Family (“Be Grateful”) with a Fred Hammond remake. Dionne Warwick and Aretha Franklin’s (“Say A Little Prayer”) stands out with a groove over a soaring ballad. (“Will You Be Ready”) has a more classic gospel feel, with a heart of ministry at its core. (“Thankful”) featuring Daryl Coley stands out as a toe-tapping jam that will have you rocking. (“Look Where He Brought Me From”) brings in her mother, Mother Jessie Stewart and will immediately take you to church.

Cynthia vocal ministry paved the way for her to appear in such movies as Blessed & Cursed -2010, The Gospel -2005, The Parkers – 2004, Show Time Cable Series Soul Food- 2004, to name a few.
